Coach Jon Loo – Director & Head Coach
Coach Jon Loo brings a unique blend of passion, experience, and vision to Lakes Area Training. As the founder and director of the Lakes Elite AAA Hockey Program, Jon has built a reputation for creating player-first environments that emphasize skill development, game intelligence, and a love for the sport. His approach combines structured training with game-like situations, ensuring players not only improve technically but also learn how to think the game at a higher level.
With years of experience coaching athletes across age groups, Jon focuses on developing the whole player—on and off the ice. His partnerships with Power Edge Pro instructors and regional training programs allow him to bring innovative, high-tempo development opportunities to the Lakes Area. Players in his programs benefit from an emphasis on hockey IQ, creativity, and resilience, preparing them for success in competitive tournaments and future levels of play.
Beyond the X’s and O’s, Coach Loo is dedicated to fostering character, confidence, and teamwork. His leadership extends into both the classroom and the rink, where he prioritizes growth, accountability, and making hockey a fun, rewarding experience for every athlete.
