Coach Loo

Coach Loo is the Head Coach of the Forest Lake Varsity Boys Hockey team (2014-current). He has been a coach in the HS program since 2008. Before that, he played at Gustavus Adolphus (1995-96) and Blaine High School (1992-95, Captain ‘95).

Coach Loo started Lakes Area Training to train hockey players and multi-sport athletes in 2020. The program runs clinics, AAA hockey teams, comprehensive camps, and private lessons in its mission to promote a lifestyle of the pursuit of excellence. Coaches in the program include NHL level players/coaches, College National Champions, High School State Champions, D1-D3 college players, current, and former Jr hockey players/coaches, Jr. hockey scouts, long-time coaches, and educators.

We teach young hockey players how to train for fun, for life. We incorporate the most recent understandings of positive habit formation and learning to create an environment where players can develop an Elite identity
